Troy leads GovWell’s Sales, Business Development, and Deployment teams. Prior to GovWell, he was the first employee and Chief of Staff to the CEO and Co-Founder at RippleMatch, a New York-based software startup, helping it grow from $0 to $10M in annual revenue and a $200M valuation. Before RippleMatch, he worked for two U.S. senators from his home state of Wisconsin. He believes passionately in the potential for technology to help government work more effectively for citizens everywhere. Troy earned his BA in Government magna cum laude from Cornell University and studied political philosophy at New York University before dropping out to start GovWell.

Marykate is GovWell's founding Deployment Strategist, where she partners with cities to effectively implement GovWell's software solutions. As the company’s first employee, she has been instrumental in shaping the customer success strategies that drive the company's mission. Marykate has a strong background in working closely with clients and managing logistics. She has coordinated complex operations for multiple presidential campaigns and led successful customer initiatives at GovWell and other organizations. Her passion for making government more accessible and effective fuels her commitment to enhancing public service through technology. She holds a BA in Psychology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Ali works at GovWell to help cities modernize how they plan, permit, and build. She brings experience in climate technology, finance, and policy having previously supported the Investing in America Agenda at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Ali is most inspired by GovWell’s mission of using innovation to make government - and democracy writ large - more effective. Ali graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelors in Political Science and a Masters in Sustainability. Outside of GovWell, she is always on the hunt for a pick up beach volleyball game.

Briana Maibaum is a Deployment Strategist at GovWell, bringing a wealth of international experience in operations and customer success, in startup environments. Growing up as a second-generation immigrant, with both parents who were public servants for the city of Los Angeles, Briana is passionate about helping local governments streamline their processes and improve their services to citizens. As a former track and field athlete at UCLA, Briana is no stranger to putting in the work to become successful. Her time spent living abroad in Spain, Italy, and Germany, has also cultivated a deep understanding of different cultures and perspectives, enabling her to connect effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. Beyond work Briana enjoys reading, cooking, scream-singing while dancing in her backyard, and the thrill of exploring a new part of the world on the back of her husband's motorcycle.

Alicia Gopal is a Business Development Manager at GovWell. She is excited about bringing GovWell to more cities, supporting its mission of helping municipalities deliver the services taxpayers deserve, and rebuilding trust in government. Alicia brings experience spanning Capitol Hill, federal data research, and event planning for the White House and Harris for President campaign. She earned her BA in Economics and Statistics from Georgetown University.

Nick Martino brings a passion for public service and a strong foundation in political and economic systems go GovWell. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and has since worked in property management at UMD and as a Field Organizer for the Maine Democratic Party. Outside of work, Nick enjoys music and performing, cooking and baking, and spending time near any large body of water. He’s excited to help expand GovWell’s reach and impact through thoughtful partnerships and mission-driven growth.

Jason is excited to lead marketing at GovWell. He began his career in Deloitte’s Government & Public Sector consulting practice in Washington, DC, where he saw firsthand how innovative digital solutions can transform government systems. He later held operations and growth roles at climate-tech startups, including AeroFarms, a pioneer in vertical farming, and Kopperfield, a software platform that streamlines permitting for electrical contractors. Jason graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with an A.B. in Political Science and earned a master’s degree in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge through the Fulbright Program.

Joey comes to GovWell after working in field marketing for over six years, primarily at AI and data solutions across a variety of fields, including international law and avatar video generation. He’s coordinated over 400 events in over 40 countries while leading global field marketing programs from Series A to enterprise companies. Joey holds a B.A. in International Politics and Society from Anglo-American University, the oldest private university in the Czechia. In his free time, he runs a variety of non-profit programs including an NGO affiliated with the World Economic Forum and has fundraised for initiatives spanning Ukrainian Refugee Aid to scaling diversity in STEM. As a passionate multicultural advocate, Joey gave his first TEDx Talk in 2022 on the necessity of international community building and continues work on cross-border initiatives today.
